Hello All:

We will be following the Governor’s order in that we are reducing staff and limiting work to those projects that support essential services as outlined by the Governor’s Executive Order. Many of our existing sales orders, however, fall under essential supplies that are exempted from the Governor’s executive order.

The Governor’s order reads in part: “With respect to business or entities that operate or provide both essential and non-essential services, supplies or support, only those lines and/or business operations that are necessary to support the essential services, supplies, or support are exempt from the restrictions.”

We have been in contact with many of our key suppliers, and they are exempt as well with respect to the same items that we can work on. We have also identified which of our sales orders we can work on during this time.

Out of an abundance of caution, we will, however, continue to keep all folks that can work at home doing so, despite the fact that they are deemed essential as well and thus can be in the office working. At this time, Matt and Cindy are planning on remaining in the office to assist in coordinating between customers, shipping, vendors and engineering, as well as identifying which Sales Orders can be worked on and which can’t.

To our shop guys: we are providing the best schedule we can under the circumstances, in such a way as to retain as many hours as possible and applying those hours against the Sales Orders we are permitted to work on. This is the intended schedule for this coming week. We aren’t sure what will happen beyond that, but we are doing the best we can balancing the business and employees’ best interests in this unprecedented situation.

If anyone desires to use their paid vacation time, they certainly can. If anyone wants to use unpaid vacation time, they certainly can as well. We’d ask that you call in to the main number and let us know if/when that is your intent.

I understand that this is not ideal for anyone, but we have to operate with the hand we are dealt. Any questions or concerns, I am available this weekend on my cell phone: 716-861-0509.
