How Does a Hammer Mill Work?

13 SERIES FINISH GRINDING WOOD HAMMER MILL

High speed (3600 RPM), mid-range production hammer mill with integral fan.

Ideal for mid-sized operations, the Series 13 hammer mill can process pre-hogged or free flowing wood scrap to the exact finished size required. Compact, yet robust, the Series 13 features a built in fan drive off of the main mill shaft. The oversized screen area allows for high throughput at a lower horse power.

Typical Applications Pre-hogged wood scrap Sawdust Shavings	Key Features 24” rotor diameters operated at 3,600 RPM to produce high hammer tip speed. Available screen discharge areas from 475 to 1824 square inches. Available with a variety of perforated screen sizes from 1/32” to 3.” Heavy plate construction and internal ribbed liner plates. Many hammer styles to choose from. Highest production rate to horsepower ratio of its kind.
