About Us

In 2001 Schutte Pulverizer Co., Inc purchased the assets of  Buffalo Hammermill Corporation bringing together two companies with a combined 160 years of experience in the field of size reduction equipment design and manufacturing. The company has since operated as Schutte-Buffalo Hammermill. 

 

Three years later in 2004, company President Thomas E. Warne and General Manager James N. Guarino purchased the company outright from retiring owner Harry D. Schutte.

 

Historically the two companies have always maintained a leadership role in the fields of wood waste reduction, feed and grain processing, as well as industries such as mining, ceramic, dry chemicals, recycling and

food waste processing.

 

While still an industry leader in these markets, Schutte-Buffalo Hammermill has applied its time-honored design and manufacturing expertise to emerging markets such asbiomass processing and alternative fuels, in addition to new and burgeoning recycling markets such ase-Waste, asphalt, carpet and roofing shingles – just to name a few.

 

We take great pride in our ability to custom tailor our equipment to the exact specifications of our customer, offering free test grinding to prove our equipment’s capabilities and custom engineering services without the custom price tag. Our equipment is renowned for its rugged construction, economical price and day-in day-out dependability. The result has been more than 16,000 Schutte-Buffalo Hammermill installations, in virtually every industry. Our mills can be found in more than 50 countries worldwide.
